This is a wonderful city to explore for the history and the great food options. The cobble stone streets, the old fortress, multiple churches, and museums offer many places to explore on foot. The restaurant selection is excellent. We enjoyed every restaurant we visited and felt the food, service, and quality were outstanding.

The old city with its towers (Clock Tower, Tinsmiths' Tower, Butchers' Tower, Tailors' Tower, Furriers' Tower, Ironsmiths' Tower etc), as well as the wooden staircase are something you should not miss. The old city starts at 5 minutes walking distance from Binderbubi Hotel. You can spend there about one-two hours (depending on your schedule) and thereafter you can stop to eat something at one of the restaurants in the area. We opted for Gasthouse Altepost.

Sighişoara is a beautiful city, with old coloured houses, buildings. Very green and clean
Friendly people, not too busy and limited traffic. It has enough to get you by
Turgu Mureş is the place to go for shopping (if that is your thing), and other entertainment such as clubs, cinema etc and is 1hr by bus/maxi taxi
If you like peace, history, walking and exploring or, you just want to get away, then Sighişoara is a good place to visit.

Sighişoara is utterly charming.
Sighişoara is utterly charming. A truly beautiful small town full of bright, colourful, historical architecture. Around every corner is another pretty cobbled lane filled with picture-perfect painted buildings. The crowning glory is its 14th Century Clock Tower.
We visited out of season (early Oct 2023) and it was perfect. Lovely blue skies, warm enough to walk around without a coat during the day but cool in the evenings. At night we'd wrap up warm so we could sit outside to eat and take in the beautiful town. The food is hearty and the restaurants we visited provided blankets for those sat outside.
We stayed for 2 nights in the old town and wish we could have stayed longer. Most people only visit for a few hours because it's tiny but for us, we were so glad we didn't do this, we like to travel slower than most.
I would love to return to this beautiful town.

Our one day tour of Sighisoara was the perfect length.
Our one day tour of Sighisoara was the perfect length. It is a delightful town and we enjoyed the ambience as well as touring the clock tower and walking up to the church. Also had dinner in the old town area. Central Park hotel was perfectly located for exploration. Also a great location to tour local sights or to engage in outdoor sports.

Beautiful medieval town with very interesting architecture!
Beautiful medieval town with very interesting architecture! The old town is located on a hill so you can see the place from above. We've never seen such stairs with the roof - it's unique. Good restaurants. Totally worth seeing!
If you are visiting a medieval citadel, as Sighișoara is, try to stay away from stars hotels, Casa Wagner offers you a way to relive the past, with a bit of modern comfort insertion. Old furniture, interior design as it was decades or maybe centuries ago. Of course you will not sleep on hay, or go to the bathroom in a night pot, but the ambiance in Casa Wagner tries and, in my opinion, succeeds to offer you a glimpse of history.
Many thanks to the employees and congratulations for the way they are doing their job nowadays.
Very beautiful authentic small hotel in the heart of Sighisoara old city. Very interesting decorations in medieval style and the building itself is old. Kind and helpful staff. The breakfast is by request with additional cost but very various, we found options without gluten and vegetarian as well (the staff kindly made dishes without meat especially for us). The hotel has a nearby free parking, so it's possible to park at the heart of the old city and explore it. Everything was clean with nice touches.
First off, I'll say excellent service! While we didn't personally meet the host, he was in continues contact with us. ...checking and following up with our needs. Second, the rooms we booked were a great large size, clean, comfortable and WITH AC! AC seems to be luxury in Romania. I wish other hosts/hotels would invest in it or at minimum in large quality fans! If you travel in the summer it's a important to keep that in mind, Also this location is THE BEST!
The location was excellent. The apartment was massive. We had a terrace which you were able to see the citadel from as well as a small balcony overlooking the Main Street.
Staying in the heart of Sighisoara meant that everything was on your doorstep.
The owners were lovely, they had good communication throughout the booking process, they even picked us up at the station when we arrived which was a lovely and an appreciated surprise.
We really enjoyed our stay at Peninsula Gasthaus Alte Post. The location was perfect, in central Timisoara just steps below the old citadel. There were multiple stores near the hotel, including a 24 hour grocery. The hotel was clean and the staff was polite and professional. The breakfast buffet was well stocked. Our room was nice, with a great view of the clock tower and a comfortable bed and nice shower.
very charming property with traditional Romanian flare and the hotel is actually a historical building! the bathroom renovation was tastefully done to go with the rest of the property. the palinca shot was a nice welcome gesture. we loved our stay and wish we didn’t have to leave so early to miss the breakfast - it likely would have been delicious.
The hotel is clean, big, has a restaurant which offered a decent breakfast. Our room was very big. In my opinion, there could have been an extra couch or an expendable armchair because there was a lot of space and we had been traveling with a baby and a toddler. But all in all, it was a decent stay
Everything was perfect.... Large room with beautiful decoration.
Balcony
Free parking behind the hotel..
People coming with a car if the hotel comes on the left hand side take the next left turn after the hotel and then another left (gravel road).. That will take you behind the hotel...
Beautiful hotel, less than five minutes walk to the citadel. Friendly staff, great facilities, and there's also a nice restaurant downstairs. Although they don't have private parking we were able to find a spot right in front of the hotel and they covered the parking fee.
The hotel is in the center of the medieval citadel. Every room has character. Food in the restaurant was very good, we ended up eating there every night. Breakfast is plentiful. Great view of the main street, the covered staircase and the Church on the Hill.
The hotel is perfectly located inside the fortress. New, very clean and comfortable. Loved the design and the attention to details.
The owners are very friendly and accommodating.
Highly recommend it.
If I come back to Sighişoara, I will look no further.
This is a beautiful hotel in the heart of historic Sighisoara.
Delightful and welcoming staff, gorgeous and comfortable rooms, and delicious breakfast.
The hotel’s parking right out front is an added bonus (rare in Sighisoara)!
Teo and his wife are excellent hosts, warm and welcoming. He has genuine enthusiasm for his craft. He went out of his way to help me retrieve some thing that I had left behind at the hotel, and I will be forever grateful.
Really good stay in Sighisoara. I was a bit reluctant about this hotel but then it exceeded our expectation. We had a big double room, bathroom was large enough and breakfast was pretty good. The bed was good enough for us.
One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in! The staff was really nice and helpful, and the atmosphere at Sighișoara and specially at Casi Savri was incredibly cozy.
The girl who manages the hotel si very kind. Position is fantastic, the best position in Sighisoara. It is in the Citadel, inside the walls of the city.
