The staff was wonderful - quickly booked an XL taxi on our behalf for the next day. They also suggested a different room to limit the number of steps, which was appreciated since my husband has issues walking. The room was gorgeous - beds were comfortable, and it felt more luxurious than I had anticipated.

FAQs about hotels in Edinburgh

A Feast for the Senses

A city of heritage, heart and of course Hogmanay, Scotland’s capital is vibrant and edgy. Whether or not you come for one of its many festivals, Edinburgh is quite simply a feast for the senses.

The wealth of Edinburgh sights ranges from Holyrood Palace to the Botanical Gardens, Princes Street to the Royal Mile. Overseeing them all is majestic Edinburgh Castle. Be there at sunset on a clear day to see the city below bathed in a warm, orange glow. Simply stunning.

Wandering the streets, the smell of fish and chips wafts by, with the unique twist of salt ‘n’ sauce – a must-try variation on this favourite dish. Follow it up with a smooth whisky and you’ll start to feel like a local.

For a taste of Scottish culture, a kilt-wearing busker often plays the bagpipes on Waverley Bridge, while traditional folk music can be heard in some Old Town pubs. Complete your stay with a rugby match at Murrayfield or a round at one of the city’s 14 golf clubs, and you’ll have the true Edinburgh experience.

Whether you are looking for hotels near Edinburgh Airport or accommodations in the city center, Booking.com has a great range to choose from.

My daughter and i enjoyed the spooky side of Edinburgh.

My daughter and i enjoyed the spooky side of Edinburgh. We did the witches and caddies tour which was fun and intersting. The dungeon experience was really fun too. We also took the city bus tour which was very interesting. Only downside concerned my mum. She is 76 and finds walking hard and struggled with the hills.

Edingburgh was never on my bucket list but was very impressed with it. We were there for three days but after we left, we found more places to visit within the City. We visited during the summer and we advise anyone visiting, to get to the sights before 10am. After that it is a bun fight!

    Edinburgh is a must.

Edinburgh is a must. I am a big walker and the best way to see the city is on foot. That it is built on levels, next to the water and at the foot of a mount, are what makes it interesting, but it also has a wealth of cozy bars and bistros and plenty of culture. The grey stone of the buildings and the drizzly climate can make it seem like a oolourless place, but it is so not. I always want to go back again and again.

The location was great, only a few mins drive into the city centre with buses every few mins, including one to and from the airport (only takes 10 mins). The staff were so helpful and friendly and the accommodation was stunning. Everything was so clean and comfortable. When we had a problem, they sorted it straight away and ensured we had the best stay possible. I’ve been to Edinburgh several times in the past and this was the best property I’ve stayed at, hands down! This includes a number of chain hotels.

The hotel is conveniently located not far from the city centre: you can walk for 20-25 minutes and explore step by step this amazing city Edinburgh, or take a bus for 10 minutes. The soundproofing of the rooms is perfect, the room is clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and varied. Especially, my daughter liked to cook waffles herself and decorate them with various toppings. There are no complaints about the hotel staff, they are polite and friendly. So I recommend this hotel 100%!!
