One of the best places to visit, stunning places to eat, lots of little shops to purchase real Notties stuff, and the people there are so friendly, they love their visitors, will do anything to recommend a place to visit, or a place to eat, also they have so much to do, walking trails, cycling, canoeing, bird watching.

The rooms were really beautiful and spacious, and equipped with everything we could have wanted. The furniture all over the hotel is beautiful.
The gardens were breathtaking and really created such a relaxed atmosphere.
The brewery is definitely worth a visit to, for the beer and the gin. Both were really amazing!
The staff were very friendly and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble for them.

6 days is about enough time to do one route of the Midlands Meander thoroughly. I think 8 days was a bit too long this time, but it was extremely relaxing and we managed to have fun for every day that we were there.

The room was dated - not what I had expected & the lack of windows left a claustrophobic feeling. Also had requested a double bed & ended up with singles

A really superb house with quality furnishings and fittings. It is particularly comfortable and conveniently located. Shadrack looks after all the facilities superbly and is really helpful, an asset indeed. He maintains the gardens like a professional and with love and care. Was also a pleasure dealing with Mbali for all arrangements, very helpful and efficient.
Without a doubt we will visit 5 Clifton Road again when in the Nottingham Road area. Was a pleasure, thank you.
Highly recommending this hotel! Value for price is exceptional, I did book a suite with two bedrooms and a large living room plus kitchen incl. balcony, all was really clean and modern, the owners were answering quickly and I felt super safe on the property! There are options to go for a walk on the large property and see zebras etc. Could not do that but that's an extra plus.
The property is situated overlooking a dam on the Mooi River. The view was beautiful. The sunsets were gorgeous and the skyline continued to change in color. The host Graham was down to earth and very helpful. Situated quite close to Rosetta and Nottingham Road, it is easy to explore the Midlands Meander using Crags Cottage as a base.
I don’t want to comment on the breakfast as I don’t eat breakfast, but the dinner at the restaurant was exceptionally delicious!
The atmosphere is so peaceful and the service friendly without being invasive.
I particularly love the ambience of the hotel and the the floatation pool is my absolute favourite 🤩
The apartment was beautiful, with little touches like chocolates and wine which was so appreciated. The property has solar power and good wifi -very helpful during loadshedding. Which makes it an appropriate spot for leisure or business trips.
Great location, beautiful and has all the comforts.
The room was clean and fairly comfortable. Bathroom spacious and modern. There is a restaurant on site which is convenient. Location is about 15 minutes from the Nottingham road on/off ramp on the n3. It is also nearby to other attractions, restaurants and shops in Notties.
What a beautiful gem Lavender Trout is! We were a big group and were very comfortably accommodated! The scenery is gorgeous! Great facilities, clean and comfy! And super helpful staff! The added bonus of friendly Jack Russel company was the cherry on top :)
Unit was very clean and hosts were very hospitable. All information required of things to do in the area was in a file for easy reference. Very comfortable beds, had a good night's rest. Lovely estate to take a good 5km walk in beautiful nature
Lovely, comfortable room with beautiful view of the lake. Very good attention to detail in terms of soft furnishings. Linen and towels were fresh and clean. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious in a warm and inviting country ambiance.
Old style family hotel with busy restaurant, bar and warm fireside experience - very central to Midlands Meander tourist routes so possible to visit range of tourist sites from cheese and beer tasting to environmental trails and farms.
Self catering so I prepared breakfast. Location was good. Delicious muffins on arrival. Host was very friendly. Made sure we were comfortable. Nice fireplace with woods which we used . Generally a clean and well kept place .

Location is perfect, quiet and secluded but not to far from the highway and close to fabulous restaurants!
The Dam Cottage is beautifully appointed and beyond comfortable!
