The location was amazing, room were basic but they had private washrooms and air conditioners to keep cool. Lots of shelving to keep clothing and belonging organized. super cheap to have them wash some clothes, it was around $3 usd per kilo. loved the hammocks in the common area. all the tables were great for playing games while having a drink, very laid back vibe. the fridge in the room was fantastic.

Excellent location with a short walk to a quiet corner of Coco beach and some delightful restaurants. The mature gardens and pool area were well kept and never crowded. Our room was spacious and comfortable Breakfast each morning was unfussy and enjoyable. We liked the nice touch of the provision of two camp chairs for use on the beach. Sitting under a tree by the beach in the morning before the heat of the day was a real joy. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

Location was great. Close to the beach and the main strip of restaurants. The pool was fantastic and a refreshing oasis to spend an hour or two at after busy days.
Rooms were small but functional, and we didn't spend much time in them.

It is a family situation, very very basic.
It is a family situation, very very basic. Clean with a kitchen that had no cooking utilities other than a coffee maker & fridge that did not work.
I had a cooler, my own cooking supplies etc so it worked for me.
Radio & Tv could be a bit loud but shut down early.
I have lived in Latin America, so I understand a family situation where many may not!
I loved the hostess! I love the proximity to the beach in the downtown and if you don’t have a vehicle to get around, it’s perfect for that and super inexpensive! Bonuses for travellers who don’t want to be a hostel

Costa Rica is beautiful and the people are friendly and lovely to get to know. There are options for those who are active - think hiking through the rainforest, fishing, surfing or for relaxing - think sitting by the pool or ocean with a good book. The shopping is fun. There are animals and beautiful nature - volcanos, waterfalls, flowers to surround yourself with.

Easy drive from Liberia Airport.
Easy drive from Liberia Airport. The town is small enough to be friendly and just large enough to have what you need. The beach is nicely maintained and easy to access. The people was very friendly and although the language is Spanish, we didn't have any problems communicating.

Amazing views from the hills.
Amazing views from the hills. This is a quieter town but plenty of businesses to keep you entertained. CocoNutz and Zi Lounge are the most lively spots for night life. A variety of restaurants including Mexican, Italian, Indian, Mediterranean, BBQ and burgers. MegaSuper for groceries (had everything including liquor). I would happily stay here again.

Nice place to stay and relax.
Nice place to stay and relax. It has nice beachfront restaurants and nice cafes.
In Coco I ate at Café Corazón, went for gelatto, ate at El Capricho Mexican Restaurant, at Tortuga, and at El Ancla. Then went further out to Ocotal, and visited Father Rooster on a Wednesday and there was live music which was great. Then visited Hermosa and had a drink during sunset at Aqua Sport. All are nice spots. Ideal if you have a car!

Coco was more active than some beach spots…the local beach was okay but preferred Ocotal better…good restaurants and 2for1 drinks…sidewalks same as everywhere…not great
Better prices for souvenirs….can rent old cart weekly if not sold out…we didn’t get one :(
Amazing clean and comfortable. Food was good, service and staff were all so friendly and helpful. Adonis at the bar during the shows was amazing, great attitude and service. Milton at the buffet was so friendly!
My daughter and I had an amazing time and relaxation.
We did a catamaran and a boat trip to Coco , both were fun. Drinks were good and service was always fast and friendly. Was easy to eat meals at all restaurants, sometimes with a short wait but we went for drinks while waiting.
Would go back again!
When we arrived, there had been a mistake with our reservation; we did not have a room waiting for us. Steven at the front desk was wonderful. He called around and was able to get us a room for thge same cost at a similiar type of hotel. He even arranged for us to have an upgraded room at no extra cost, as well as free transportation to the new hotel. We did not need it as we had our own car, but it was most kind of Steven to make sure our needs were considered. Thank you much.
Functional kitchen, comfy beds, ample A/C power and units. Good looking units, two bathrooms. Close to downtown Coco, so every good restaurant and grocery store is a 5-minutes walk. Secured, gated villa. Pool and garden is a perfect haven and clashes with the urban life right outside. The gardener Augustin lives onsite and is very kind. I had a very good stay but I also had earplugs with me.
The condo is great. Very nice kitchen, bathrooms and furniture. The balcony is amazing. You can see all the way to Playa Naranja and Witch’s Rock. Everything is high end. The pool was perfect for cooling off. Close to playa ocotillo, which is very pretty. Playas de Coco has everything you’ll need to stock the Kitchen. We had an excellent time and look forward to returning. Thanks
Check in staff was phenomenal. Make sure to have WhatsApp downloaded as they will send you hotel info via WhatsApp. Room very clean, bed was comfortable, good wifi connection. Parking was limited but the guard helped me get a spot. I did not use spa or pool facilities. It's about 12 minutes drive to the downtown Coco but very quiet.
The bed was incredibly comfortable. The room also had an AC and a refrigerator. Also the pool was perfect for relaxing and the direct location in the center was great.
The staff was incredibly friendly. I got a free room upgrade and got super great tips from the staff - not just for coco but for all of Costa Rica.
Beach access short walk away, plenty of food options for lunch/dinner in the area. The neighbors were super helpful and friendly. We are definitely coming back to Playa Coco. Prices for stay in this area were more reasonable than the other neighboring beaches. Felt safe walking in the areas even at night time.
One of the worst hotel ever been I stayed. I was fooled by photos. No hot water, lights did not work. Floors where dirty and bathroom looked like a public toilet. Poorly maintained worst hotel. Beware of theft in coco Beach area. Keep car doors closed.
Lived in a secondary hotel economical accommodation. This building is on the next street from the main hotel. One-story building with entrances to the rooms from the yard. The rooms are simple but clean. Good cleaning in the room.
The hotel is really outdated, shabby and dirty. Imagine being stuck at a frat party at 4 a.m. Now imagine being stuck there for the duration of your trip.
The outside areas were nice and the staff was friendly.
close to the beach! allowed dogs. breakfast included after 7 am. The hammocks in the wonderful courtyard were great. This community in Coco Playa is nice everywhere we have stayed over the years.
Perfect place to stay in Coco!!!
I would definitely recommend it and come back there.
It is very well equipped and clean and the view and distance to the beaches is great!
This was a great little place in Coco. It had enough room to move around and live for a few days. The pool was also very nice and it is a short walk from the main street.
