A total treasure house so it is best to read up on the city before you go and then make some choices. Check carefully on opening days and times for museums, churches etc. as you can miss out. Try to go beyond the most famous places such as the Uffizi, Duomo, Accademia etc and visit some lesser known places. Make time to wander and to sit and enjoy a coffee or an ice cream as there are so many extraordinary places to see you can feel overwhelmed.

Florence is a city full of charm, history, and incredible culture, along with exceptional food. It’s the perfect place to fall in love with simplicity and enjoy the present moment by watching the locals and soaking in the unique atmosphere of the region. The people are very friendly, and it’s common to find yourself in a piazza, enjoying a good glass of wine and delicious food while meeting amazing new people. I’m completely in love with this city!

I didn't know what to expect of Florence and we arrived by train from Rome which was all hustle and bustle and a bit grubby but with fantastic antiquities, Florence has the antiquities but none of the hustle and bustle and we found a roof top bar and watched the sun go down and experienced the best it could offer, on our budget. David was sensational, I am not an art expert but the sheer magnitude and detail is extraordinary and there are many other breath-taking parts too. It is a city that I would truly say everyone should visit once and if you can only afford Rome or Florence, pick Florence.

As a tourist, Florence is a great city to visit on a short stay and having the luxury of staying in the city centre means you can walk everywhere. There isn't a lot of green space so a short 2-3 day stay is probably better than anything longer. The city's monuments, galleries and attractions showcase the best of art and culture, especially the Rennaissance period. Put on comfortable walking shoes and hit the pavement! Firenze awaits.

Florence is the perfect city to visit, would stay there as much as I could. Great food, great wine as long as you don't stick to the main touristy area, then great prices. And its not only the city but the outskirts as well.

Florence is beautiful and has a rich history. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the city with scheduled tours as well as walking the streets by ourselves. The food was wonderful. Most everyone we encountered was pleasant. It was busy with tourists so you need to plan your tours accordingly.

The hotel's location was perfect for us to enjoy the city. Our room was small, but that was expected. I think paying a little extra to have a room with a view facing the church was worth it. All of the staff were kind. Breakfast was a bit pricier compared to what we paid at other places, but it was good. We visited three other cities after leaving Florence, and this hotel turned out to be the best and our favorite during our trip to Italy!

We chose this hotel for it's location away from the historic center of Florence and for the facilities. It was a great decision. The staff were all extremely polite and helpful and the facility lived up to the pictures (for a change!) which included a wonderful breakfast each morning. 20 minutes walk to the Florence's main attractions, was a lovely way to start each day. Overall a wonderful week in Florence and our best holiday in Italy to date.

We came to Italy for our honeymoon. Choosing to stay here was absolutely the best decision. The lush green surroundings, delicious breakfast, and friendly service all left a deep impression on me. The room had exceptionally high ceilings and was very spacious, with elegant classical furniture. If we return to Florence, I will definitely choose to stay here again!
