Amazing contemporary architecture all around the precinct, easy to walk to, probably would have looked even more beautiful showing green lawns, I was there when much covered in snow. Not tourist orientated re maps, managed by shear walking and working out mysel where things were to find the amazing national museum of the republic which is an absolute must see!!!!! Well worth the long haul from Australia to see this country! People are nice, cab drivers ok, lots of eateries, coffee shops etc, flew to Almaty also and dashed to Uzbekistan to visit Samarqand as well

Very hospitable city. Many cultural attractions.
Very hospitable city. Many cultural attractions. We'd like to come back in the summer when the weather is nice (our trip was in November, and it was too windy and chilly). We could not enjoy walks in the multiple parks.

Great sightseeing shopping restaurants and kids attractions.
Great sightseeing shopping restaurants and kids attractions. No real history apart from the museums as its a newly constructed city. Horrendous traffic and a great construction project with the overland metro when completed will surely be a game changer for the place and if development Continues it could easily be a rival to Dubai as a world class attraction. Please to do for people of all ages and loads of natural beauty just a short drive away.
Sauna culture is a wonderful experience for those people who haven't had the experience.
Nightclubs for those that way Inclined will not be dissapointed.
Overall an awesome destination for young families, those of a more mature disposition and stag/hen parties for the more adventurous. Imo a highly regarded destination for all as long as you are prepared for different standards to what you may be used to..... some lower (table service) and the majority as good as if not better than what you may be used to especially considering the cost factor

Variety of meat dishes is amazing in the city.
Variety of meat dishes is amazing in the city. There are plenty of various restaurants including local ones. If you eat meat, I would strongly recommend you Kazakh cuisine.
Be aware that the air in the city is polluted by gas. There are no public transportation besides buses and taxis. Therefore, traffic jams are normal. However, taxis are affordable. Pedestrian ways are not very well thought trough. Buildings in the city center are huge, blocks are enormous. City definitely has both Chinese and Post-Soviet vibes.
The coolest place I visited was Expo museum, really cool. The whole area around Expo is interesting to visit as a landmark of 2010-s architecture.

There are not much things to see, but what's available is of high quality. Nur-Alem alone is a good reason to visit. City center is a nice place to walk with parks, fountains and some beautiful architecture around. Also a lot of restaurants with different and not expensive cuisine and shopping malls are there.
The biggest issue is a transport. Taxi is cheap and easily available, but during the day there are a lot of traffic on the roads. Public transport (buses) is hardly accessible to tourists: I asked peoples, searched online, but couldn't figure out how to pay.

We travelled in June, so had to bear 30 degrees plus outside, so we simply spent most of our trip inside our hotel until sundown. Wish we could explore more landmarks and museums, but heat...
The food scene is really bad, almost all restaurants we visited were overpriced, with low food quality (maybe it has something to do with the heat). The city is clean, the airport is nice, people are polite and friendly.
This wasn't my first stay in this hotel. - All of us, who travel for business purposes, do know, that the standard of international hotel chains is quite comparable across the world. However, what does make a difference, is the hotel team.
And this Sheraton team is really exceptional here in Astana. The guys remember you, some even by name, and help wherever they can.
It is exactly this hotel team, that makes me returning to this place again an again without risking some different place. - Thanks for the enjoyable, pleasant stay!
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. The luxurious accommodations, coupled with exceptional service, made my stay truly memorable. The hotel’s prime location made exploring the city a breeze, and I can’t wait to return to [HotelName] on my next visit. Highly recommended!
Stayed in the hotel for 2 nights due to the work trip. Very clean room, similar to the much more expensive 4-star hotels. A pick-up from the airport and early entry at 6:00 AM was easily organized from reception remotely in advance (of course with extra charges). Extremely good, superb 24-hour service and support from the receptionists with very good English language skills.
It was pretty standard as hotel goes, but the room facilities were good, comfortable, and functioned well. The two very commendable points were the helpfulness of the staff and the location of the hotel. Not a very long walk to get to Keruen City Mall and to the older part of Astana. Bed was comfortable for us, safe was provided, and housekeeping was punctual.
2hrs early check in, late check out (if you become a member of hilton honors). Clean, modern, spacious room with good temperature control and air conditioning as well as nice shower room.
Location is close to botanical garden and expo. Beautiful area. Staff is friendly and welcoming.
Very attractive price.
The view was amazing, the room had plenty of space it was comfortable with a lot of facilities. The location was just perfect, close to everything. The staff polite and there was even a mini market on the same building. Basically the hotel had anything you might need on your trip included!
The staff here are excellent. They provided the best service that we've had in all of Kazakhstan, which is saying a lot since we've stayed at a dozen or more hotels in the country. The location can't be beat. It is in the heart, the very center of the city. The breakfast was extensive.
A cozy apartment in a very good location. You can discover the new and old part of Astana by foot, if you love walking, of course!
Highly recommendable for single travelers or couples. Finally a special thank you to the host who waited for our late arrival.
The location is perfect if you plan to work/visit the EXPO in Astana. Rather close to the airport, but it will take you some time to get to the right bank. The staff is very friendly, and the room was clean and nice.
Very good hotel, nice and helpful staff, good location, clean room and tasty breakfasts. The ladies from reception helped us to pay the tour agency and advised good restaurants around, really appreciate their help.
Nice, new hotel with really beautiful interior, which is built of quality materials. All the furniture is comfortable and rooms a filled out with everything is needed. As additional there are dope fitness centre
It’s very convenient for those who are staying over for work.
Lot of amenities around the hotel Which are walking distance like Magnum Supermarket(24/7) and other Restaurant and Cafe options.
Great hotel, perfect location very close to Khan Shatyr and Nurzhol Boulevard. The staff is extremely nice and very helpful. Room was very comfortable and quiet. Great place to stay in Astana.
It's very nice hotel with great location. The hotel has nice sauna and pool to relax. Rooms were very comfy and big. I would definitely book this hotel again once visiting Astana.
Exclellent hotel nearby the AstanaHub ideal for work. Shoop center nearby at a walking distance. Service to the airport very good hotel to be recommended
