Rome is a beautiful city and the buildings are incredible as well as the pretty streets. The food is absolutely amazing and no need to book restaurants as there are so many to choose from and very fast service. So many gelato stops. The Italian people were all welcoming and friendly. It is a lot of walking so definitely wear comfy shoes. We did not use public transport as we had a pretty good hotel location near the Colosseum. The Vatican City was a 50 minute walk from our room but we stopped for lunch on the way which made it easier. 100% do the Vatican Museum tour. However, the haggler men that try to sell you stuff on the streets are really intimidating. We were sworn at, called racists, spat at and followed. It is an unsafe city so definitely make sure you have your wits about you. I would definitely pay a visit if you have not before. However, I do not think we will be visiting again anytime soon now that we ticked off all the tourist sites and due to the overwhelming amount of hagglers.

We spent three complete and two half days in Rome, which was about right. We used skip the line tickets at the Colosseum and Vatican Museum, which are well worth the money as queues to get in were very long indeed.

You should plan ahead and make sure to check the weather We prefered to walk as you need to be careful with pick pockets in busy places Best to buy skip the line tours for the vatican as the ques are crazy but dont miss out on going inside Most places have a 2e per person service fee if you dine in Always negotiate with street sellers

Whether you`re a history buff, an art lover, or a foodie...

Whether you`re a history buff, an art lover, or a foodie Rome has everything you need. It`s got a bustling day and nightlife or if you`re in a reflective mood, more churches and Cathedrals than you can shake a miter at. The interior of the most innocuous looking church tucked away down some side street can have any number of paintings and sculptures by some of the renaissances` greatest artists so I recommend that you take a peek inside any you pass, you never know what you might find. As for art galleries, where to start, from the stunning intimacy of the Galleria Borghese (personal favourite) to the overwhelming grandeur of the Vatican museum you will be spoiled for choice, and you`re allowed to take as many photos as you like. And then there`s the history, it is truly difficult to explain what it`s like to walk down roads over 2,000 years old, and still in use, never mind the truly spectacular Colosseum, with its very believable blood drenched history. Rome truly has as much as you think and more than you know.

Lovely City with lots to do and different attractions to visit, however, beware of the time of the year as the attractions can be very rowdy with long queues during certain months can become overwhelming. Foods are quite pricey in Rome and most restaurants also include service charges. Overall, it is a great city to visit and a memorable one too. Whatever you do, try and visit the Vatican City, it's the reason why you should go to Rome.

Visited Rome on many ocassions over the years. It's a lovely city with a huge history. Sadly there's lots of graffiti and no matter what time of year you go the city will be inundated with tourists. Don't let that put you off! Allow yourself plenty of time to take in the sites, pace yourself, enjoy the history and enjoy the food!

    1. Wonderful-wonderful-wonderful hotel! Anna is a very nice host! And a wonderful person!) I was in Rome for the first time and felt a little lost, but Anna's warm welcome made me feel at home and fall in love with Italy! The room was very clean, the room itself is large, bright and comfortable! Getting to the center is very convenient and fast! I will advise Anna's hotel to everyone and if I myself come to Rome again, I will only go to her! Thanks for the wonderful memories of Rome!

The location was perfect. It was our first time in Italy and our first stop was Rome. The Trevi Fountain is pretty central to the other landmarks for sight-seeing, so it was not too far of a walk and we could stop back in the hotel throughout the day. The included Breakfast exceeded our expectations, a good spread and you could sit on their rooftop terrace overlooking the Trevi Fountain. It was a bit difficult to locate when we first got there, but otherwise, highly recommend!

Fantastic property managed by the most knowledgeable and genuinely helpful host. Luigi knows Rome and Italy in general. He helped us build our itinerary, made wonderful recommendations that optimized our time in Rome. The apartment is very comfortable, modern and safe. It is a few short minutes from the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, and all the major attractions. We walked to the Vatican, Spanish steps and the Colosseum. We had a wonderful weekend in Rome! It's a family hotel with very friendly and helpful hostesses - Francesca and her mother. The hotel offers stylish and comfortable rooms equipped with everything you need: a fridge, a kettle, a TV. The bed is very comfortable, and the area is quiet. I especially want to mention the delicious homemade breakfast with eggs, yogurt, ham, pastries and coffee, which is quite diverse for Italy. I highly recommend staying at this hotel👍

Amazing place!! Me and my mum really enjoyed out stay. The place has such a unique atmosphere. The host so helpful and nice. Our check in time was out of the house rules, but host allowed us to check in later. Moreover, our train got late and host still waited us for several hours. We just cannot be more thankful. It really made our trip to Rome special. Thank you! Also, we got recommendation on the restaurant nearby and it was our best meal in Italy.
