Amazing public transport system - why would anyone use a car in Manchester?! The number 1 free bus was a great introduction to the centre of the city and the trams seem to serve all areas.
We loved the Manchester Museum - exhibits all set out in themes with easy to read notes - no wonder it won European Museum of the Year! The cathedral has some wonderful modern stained glass and the National Trust has made a lovely transformation of the Castlefield Viaduct in part one of the project.

Amazing contrast of old industrial and modern glass skyscrapers, very dramatic, alongside canals with live aboard boats. People are friendly, helpful. Good tram transport over the city.

I love Manchester. It's an industrious city. Public transport is very good. People are generally friendly and not snobbish.
I have however seldom seen people so scantly dressed walking around the city. Definitly not shy.

Manchester is a lively city with much to offer. It was so pleasurable to walk around the core neighborhood. Visiting the Manchester Art Gallery was a highlight as was the John Rylands Library. My next visit will take in the museums.

Staying at Salford Quays, gave us the opportunity to explore the area including a visit to the Imperial War Museum, an informative boat trip of docks and river into Manchester. Enjoying the many restaurants and bars in media city and the quays. With plenty of tram stop to access many places or buses.

We had a great stay at the Wilde Aparthotel which has an excellent city centre location in the heart of Manchester. Our room was very well appointed and spotlessly clean. Great facilities with pleasantly helpful staff. Would not hesitate to stay here again (If Bruce Springsteen comes to town again - LOL!)
Location very central for all locations in Manchester
Spinning fields 5 mins walk . Ao arena 15 mins walk
City centre 10 mins walk
Secure hotel car park not over crowded plenty of spaces available
Breakfast was fresh , good choice and ambient area
Great location in Castlefield, plenty of things to do and not too far from Manchester City centre. Super comfortable stay, massive bed. Very welcoming staff. Reasonable prices at the hotel bar. Reasonably priced for Manchester.
Fantastic hotel, probably the best centrally located hotel in the city centre.
Close to everything bars, restaurants and shops.
