The Blue Inn has a rich and intriguing history. It opened it’s doors in the ‘70s in Rome, in the historic neighbourhood of Trastevere – born as a piano bar, disco and restaurant by the intuition of my grandfather, Angelo Salvati. Within no time the Blue Inn became the influential place for the gentry: not only for the fine dining that was offered, but furthermore for the memorable performances of the most important comic artists and singers of those years. The long journey of the Blue Inn was just beginning! Over the years, the desire to take on new challenges brought my grandfather to Calabria – specifically to Marina di Zambrone (Tropea) – where, on the wave of success, he continued the adventure that had begun in Rome a few years earlier. It’s been more than forty years since the birth of Blue Inn and now it has a new challenge, picking up where it all began: Rome. The Blue Inn, which has always moved with the times, has now become a Luxury Bed and Breakfast, bringing forth the elegant touch which it began with almost half a century ago. The Blue Inn, therefore, wants to continue to be what it has always been: an exquisit benchmark for Rome and for its visitors.

Termini Station with its service train “Leonardo Express”, is easily reached on foot and allows you to travel to and from Leonardo Da Vinci Airport (Fiumincino) in just 32 minutes. In addition, the Metro A stations: Barberini and Repubblica, are both 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The Blue Inn Luxury Suites is an excellent choice for those who choose to arrive by car, located just outside the restricted traffic area, it offers our guests a private parking garage available upon request at the time of booking (paid service).
