Lively fun city helped by a heatwave at the time and unexpected MASH, Tollwood and Pride festivals. Two trips with Mike's Bikes were great, particularly the City Cycle Tour to get orientation. Deutsche Museum huge and impressive. English Garden was unexpectedly good, with a large fun and safe Biergarten at the Chinese Tower. The city center is really beautiful with many small shops and bigger sized shopping centers. The city is really clean, and everybody can find something for themselves. As for the public transport we only used U-Bahn and it is easy to use, really quick and practical option to travel to different parts of the city. I was also fairly surprised how much green ground is in the city, there are many parks around, but the biggest one is the English garden right next to city center withing walking distance. We had very little time in Munich, but enjoyed the Marienplatz, the Glockenspiel performance, the old town, the beautiful open green space near the museums close to the hotel, and eating at Hofbräuhaus. The city was so clean and people were polite. I liked the city, although the area around the train station is crowded and full of all kinds of people, some of them not particularly friendly.
