The coast from Igalo to the ferry at Kamenari is served by Blue Bus
Route 1 - but only in one direction; return is by a different route. The
are free public conveniences - adjacent to a public park.
Route 1 does not serve the bus station but Route 2 does. The town is
renown for its steps but I found the route between the main square
and the bus station less challenging than central routes in other towns.
An advantage is that the main streets flow with the contours and are
gentle when moving between them.
Towns do not excite me and I did not explore in any depth but I sense
that this town has resisted the onslaught of homogeneity and that it
has managed to survive economically. I even saw one building with a
"Red Star" flag from the former Yugoslavia.

You have to be fit fo you to visit all the city (a lot of steps). The food was amazing, sometimes it’s cheaper to go to a restaurant than to cook yourself at home.
No matter which side of Herceg Novi you are, you have splendid views. If you like to go hiking you can do that too, and when you get to the top you get mesmerised.

Herceg Novi is great if you don't want something extreme tourist like Kotor. The long walking boulevard along the seaside offers many bars, restaurants and beaches. You'll find a wide range of accommodations from fancy hotels to hostels and many vacation flats. I had a nice dinner twice at Yacht Club Restaurant along the boulevard. Top service, reasonable prices and a beautiful view. Keep in mind though that most of the city is built uphill so plenty of climbing to do.

The town is beautiful and the landscape is more beautiful.
The town is beautiful and the landscape is more beautiful. The bay of Kotor is very imposing. Budva is like Amerika when somebody like this it must not fly a lot. The transport is horrible but I know between the mountain is impossible to build highways.

Wonderful beaches. not too busy.
Wonderful beaches. not too busy. The sea water is slightly cool, wonderful for hot August days. Lots of restaurants at reasonable prices.
Traveling by bus is comfortable and very cheap. 1 euro, but sometimes very crowded, especially in the evening.

We visited the old town and drank a very good traditional coffee. A very nice city with many restaurants, a central park and a multitude of shops for all tastes. I recommend you to visit the city in the morning, if you are in the summer season, because the temperatures are lower.
Everything! The place, the views, the food (ah, the food, delicious, varied and abundant), the entertainement (great live music and animators' programme), and - the best part of it all - the staff. They are kind, social and agreable, simply awesome folks! Also the place is at a great location for exploring the marvels of Boka/Bay, from mounteenering at nearby mt Orien (you can see it from the hotel), trip to the old Perast, Kotor or the new posh Porto Montenegro. We just loved it all!
Hospitality, availability and kindness, Slobodan (host) was opened for any additional requests and every agreement was respected. We felt like home there from the very start. Place (Njivice) is very peaceful and quiet, so there is a real holiday resting. However, if somebody wants night life or more happening during day, Igalo and Herceg Novi are just across the bay, 10 mins of driving. This place has my recommendation for sure.
Agape is a newly open,(June 2023) family run hotel. It is sparkling clean, most comfortable and it commands spectacular views of the sea, Herceg Novi and the village of Rose.
The dedication and service of each member of staff is superb. It is much more than professional - they really care.
If you want to surround yourself by sheer beauty and escape the hectic world we live in this will be the right spot for you.
By far superb 1st class service, location, views, food & staff. This hotel is in a excellent location along the bay’s waterside promenade (plenty of shops & food/drink) & they’ll happily cater to your specific needs, they set my room up with beautiful roses along with my note to my lady. I will definitely be returning & referring everyone I know to this wonderful establishment in beautiful Montenegro.
The place is run by a friendly family. I was able to speak a little Russian which helped for communication. My room was clean, had enough space and I've got crockery and a small fridge for myself.
The old Town takes a little while by walking, but there are also busses going through Herceg Novi: http://www.blueline-mne.com/index.php/gradski-prevoz/gradski-prevoz-herceg-novi
I enjoyed my stay there.
The place was nice, nicely furnished with the great view of the sea. It was spacious enough for the 4 of us. The balcony was great and very cosy. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed and the owner Dejana left us also some coffee, wine, juice and some basic cooking stuff.
Dejana also gave us all the information for a pleasant stay in Herceg Novi.
We had a good time 🙂
Room was really generous size, very clean and they were generous with topping up towels and supplies. Pool was really lovely and the spa facilities were excellent. Loved the mineral pool and salt lamp wall. I had a great massage which was good value for money. Staff were really friendly. Overall it was a great hotel and I would go again. I would say its nearer 5 stars than 4.
The hotel is super new, clean and modern but the most precious thing there is the staff who really make your stay amazing. Polite, friendly and customer oriented. Every our issue was settled in the best way. Tasty food, good view, clean and modern rooms. Highly recommended, probably the best place to stay in Herceg Novi.
Friendly staff. Large rooms, comfy beds, air conditioning easily controlled. Clean bathroom. Good advice to use a bus for a trip to Herceg Novi. Bus stop nearby, a ride is scheduled every 30 minutes, it takes ca. 10-12 minutes, tickets at 1 euro available in the bus. A taxi on the way back costs ca. 10 euros.
We had such an amazing time while staying in Herceg Novi at Apartments Belvedere!
We couldn't be more satisfied with the location, amazing view, and above all, the cleanliness of the apartment.
If we come back here, we already know where our favorite place is!
Ideal place for vacations, very quiet and comfortable. The hotel is located on the beach and for those who want to rest in the rooms, they have a brilliant view of the sea from the room. The hotel staff are very kind and take care of your comfort at all times!
Beautiful views from the terrace, the accommodations were very clean and finished to a good standard. Walking distance to all landmarks and restaurants in Herceg Novi. The host gave us recommendations to restaurants with amazing food.
Nice host, wonderful sea views, very neat apartment in a new building. Situated in the quiet neighborhood but still within walking distance from the center of Herceg Novi. It exceeded our expectations in every respect.
competing to other hotels in Boka Bay its way better then all of them . Unique , comfortable and extremely cleen . user friendly staff , good service and best spa in Montenegro ( except One and Only and Aman )
Ideal place to stay in Herceg Novi. The aparment was exectly like in the photos. Clean, confortable, stuning sea view, quiet with everything you need on one place. The host was really friendly and supportive.
Everything was excellent! Staff was so friendly and we felt like in our home thamks to the hospitality 🤍 it is the best place to have a peaceful honeymoon in Herceg Novi 💎
