Absolutely stunning location with wonderfully helpful staff. The ambience and attention to detail in the property was some of the best I've ever seen for a hotel in Bali at a very good price point. The rooms were fantastically clean and well-appointed, the pool and grounds were gorgeous and the included breakfast was consistently lovely.

The staff were all so lovely and welcoming. They really made the place feel like ‘home’ whilst we were in Canggu. The room itself had everything you needed - spacious, bed was comfy, shower was great. They give you three water bottles a day and you can ask them to be refilled during the day if needed. The swimming pool area isn’t massive but there was never anyone around it when we were there so wasn’t an issue! The location is perfect - about 10-15 minute walk from Echo beach and near loads of cafes and restaurants. The breakfast was spot on; you create your own breakfast by picking three things on the menu. All the food was so good too. Would highly recommend for anyone coming to Canggu.

I loved the private plunge pool, the extra space of the lounge upstairs, the friendly staff, the decor, the pool and bar and the food and drinks. I also liked that there was a free shuttle to Seminyak Village and that the position of the hotel was close enough to shops, restaurants and the beach but was in a quiet street.

FAQs about hotels in Bali

An Island Dream

The dream destination of Bali is where volcanic landscape meets lush rice terraces and pristine beaches. Not to mention the fantastic surfing, cheap shopping and pervading spirituality that have made this Indonesian island a long-time favourite for backpackers.

The island’s capital is Denpasar in the south, but its surf and party capital is nearby Kuta. Swaying palm trees line the beach here and many more cover the grounds of the Bali hotels on the beach in more exclusive Seminyak to the north.

On the island’s north coast, Pemuteran beach offers lovely views of the sloping mountains heading towards the Bali Sea. Many beaches on this coast are black sand, including sweeping Lovina beach from where dolphins can often be seen. Tulamben in the east is one of the better diving resorts in Bali, while Sanur is a popular option for families.

Ubud is the island’s cultural capital and houses a monkey sanctuary in its jungle-like landscape. An ancient Hindu temple is found here, but the best-known temple is Tanah Lot, surrounded by water. There are also hundreds of fantastic spas in Bali, as well as meditation and yoga classes that you can join.

Whether you choose to stay inland or by the beautiful coastline, Booking.com has a great range of villas, guest houses and hotels in Bali.

A great place away nestled in beautiful natural surroundings away from the hustle of Seminyak. Ubud central has got a great selection of eating places, esp. Nusa was just excellent and Luna was great too. The market is great for shopping. Great place for some adventure activities like, ATV, Rafting, Gekko Tubing, Bali Swing etc.

Seminyak has a tremendous offering of restaurants, bars, beach clubs and shops. The beach has some pretty serious surf that is not well suited for swimming or wading; better suited for surfing. Surfing was good, especially up at Changu. High tide leaves little area to walk along the sand in some spots. The traffic was tremendous most of the day/evening making it somewhat a challenge to walk around. Potato Head Beach Club is a much see; a bit pricey but great service. Difficult travel during the day in and around Seminyak and the southern part of Bali. Be prepared to spend hours traveling by car to other areas such as Sanur, Benoa or Ubud. Perhaps a bit quicker by scooter if you are experienced with the traffic there or hire a driver.

Very touristy, the city is not aligned with the overall vibe of Bali. A lot of traffic as well so it becomes difficult to move around during peak hours. I wouldn't go there again, and would prefer spending more time in Uluwatu instead.

We have been to Bali many times and this was our first time in Uluwatu. We loved it because it was a much more layed back and sophisticated part of Bali without the hustle and bustle of Kuta or Seminyak. We loved the surf culture, healthy food available and the easy access to yoga and wellbeing services if you wanted to. Because our villa was a little away from the main part and we were only there for 4 nights we spent alot of time at Mana restaurant and pool just chilling because we loved the food and facilities. We ventured to Padang Padang beach for some sea water swimming and that was good to experience. Next time we will stay a little further in closer to Padang Padang to experience that side of Uluwatu which seems to be the busier part.

A lot quieter than Kuta our main stay location but it's seafront walks , lovely beach and bars was amazing and a more upmarket feel . Roadside can be a little hazardous with high kerbs and crowded pavements and a lot less busier with traffic Overall Sanur offers you a slower pace can highly recommend. Nusa Lembongan was lovely. Very relaxed and chilled out. Great if you enjoy island life. Grab a scooter and zip around to see all the popular spots. Spent 3 full days here and could have spent another 1-2 days just living island life. Not sure what else I would do if I stayed longer, other than just chill out

The typical day excursion with speed boat going and coming to the island in one day is somewhat exhausting, in my optinion. Another recommendion would be to stay at least one overnight, to break the trip up and not be so rushed. Travel light for day trips or your overnight, as it makes it easier boarding speed boats and moving around the harbours. Overnight accomidations are very inexpensive and hotel dining options and restaurants near to the harbour are plentiful. Beach clubs are wonderful on the North shore near Prapat Beach and have nightly entertainment. Nightlife and restaurants are becoming very popular on this part of Nusa Penida.

    Legian really surprised me.

Legian really surprised me. Having been to Bali six times, this was my first time staying in Legian. tweets are easier to navigate then Seminyak, not congested. A huge array of cafes, bars and eating spots. Cheaper for shopping and services, such as massage. I also found Legian slightly more laid back than Seminyak.

Nusa Dua is a lot quieter than Seminyak/ Legion area. Cleaner and not as much traffic ie. motor bikes. There are enough shops to buy souvenirs etc at a good price. We did not get hassled as much by people trying to sell bangles and sarongs on the beach. Restaurants were very good and most had entertainment.
