Huge room with a super comfy bed, my friend has a sofa bed made up which was equally as comfy. Espa products to use in the bathroom and a great selections of tea and coffee, the hotel staff were very accoomodating and took my lugagge from the taxi to the inside of the hotel for me. Service very quick inside the hotel bar with great prices on drinks for central london. The hotel is five minutes away from big ben and the london eye and always had taxis waiting outside. Very close to local ammenities and I loved my stay.

As a born and bred Londoner, visiting again has made me realise why I left in the first place. Dirty, overcrowded, most of the outer areas have turned into slums. Unless you want to stay very central and spend a fortunate, you will be safe(ish) but severely out of pocket for the bare minimum.

I'd recommend getting a tube to the fully restored Battersea power station. The venue itself is full of interesting shops and things to do but the best part is boarding the Uber Clipper for an inexpensive river cruise (about £6-9) through many of Londons top sites with a close up view of the London Eye, the houses of parliament for example. We took the clipper to the pier near Shakespeares Globe theatre and Tate Modern but visited the area of bankside and around the borough market which is only a stone's throw from the hotel as well. If you like walking its not far to cross the millenium bridge at the Tate to visit St Pauls Cathedral.

London is what you make of it, there is everything there but you have to experiment. The culture is good, music and art. The south bank is a pleasant walk with the music halls, street food and galleries. The museums are excellent. If feeling stressed, head for Hyde park for a relaxing walk or cycle.

Always something to see and do.

Always something to see and do. Free museums, live concerts and always fabulous shows on the West End. The architecture of the buildings is something New York lacks. The underground also beats the subway in my opinion, having visited both frequently. London is up there as one of the best cities in the world.

Avoid spending time in super touristy areas - everything is overpriced and you're likely to get pickpocketed. There's so much culture far away from the 'iconic' areas. I would advise doing a crash course on the metro before arriving, and planning your routes before you go underground if you're using Google Maps. A brief guide I give to anyone for their first time visiting: try to stay in Paddington (good transport links, hotels, and a nice area), walk to Hyde Park through to the Palace (long but very nice walk), from there you can quickly hit Big Ben, the London Eye, then turn to go to Trafalgar Square/Soho/Covent Garden/China Town/Piccadilly Circus, which are all reasonably walkable from there. Or hop on the tube and head towards Camden Town! Very humid city - you won't need as many layers as you think. I didn't see a show until after I had lived in the city and moved home to Ireland, and I don't think I'll ever visit again without seeing something on the West End!

I’m a little ocd about where I stay - typically don’t stay in cheaper hotels so I was very apprehensive. Honestly the room was immaculate. Staff we’re incredibly kind and upgraded our room ( assuming as they didn’t have anybody book the bigger room for the night ) Was a lovely gesture. Exactly like photos, bed to my surprise was very comfy. 4 minuet from station. We just booked it as somewhere to stay for the night whilst we went for dinner in London and truthfully we will be going back - very private, cosy hotel

Very very easy to get to from Heathrow airport, direct tube to Green Park and then a 5 minute walk to hotel. Definitely one of the best hotels and location is unbeatable.
