Clitheroe is a town full of interest to all those who wish to learn more about the industrial and social history of Lancashire valley mill towns. There are many old family businesses and shops, cafes and, of course, the fabulous Holmes Mill and its Bowland Bar and Brewery. A charming, thriving and most engaging town - with a castle!

Clitheroe is a lovely town with local shops, pubs and restaurants. The castle and its grounds are worth the climb up the hill. The town is a good base for exploring further afield.
For those with walking difficulties, you should be aware that Clitheroe is on a hill and the streets can be steep.
For those liking wine, there is an excellent wine shop D. Byrne & Co to explore.

There wasn't anyone on reception continental breakfast was not as it should have been very poor, there was nothing saying about you have to put signs on door for person to clean room, even when they cleaned room they didn't leave any milk
Before arrival the host sent us over all the information we needed for checkin along with some parking tips which was very helpful on arrival to the town. The cottage was stunning and had a lovely home away from home feel with kitchen facilities (fresh bread, milk and eggs available for us). The location of the property was perfect for us, lots of local shops nearby as well as great parking facilities. We really enjoyed our stay and would book again in the future.
Thank you! Was a wonderful relief to step into a warm cosy cottage. Small but perfectly formed - every item has been chosen to create a comfortable, relaxing space. Spotlessly clean in every nook and cranny, so important to comfort and relaxation. Comfortable mattress, quality bedding and thick fluffy towels. Ideal for exploring Clitheroe from the door. Free parking between the B6478 and Queensway. Loved staying in Church cottage.
Everything about our stay was excellent. We particularly enjoyed sitting by the river and in the courtyard for drinks. The evening meal was really good with a wide range of choice, substantial portions and great service. Our room was spacious, well equipped and very clean. The breakfast was excellent. Also the hotel was maintaining adherence to Covid-19 precautions.
This hotel is in a beautiful location and is a hidden little gem .
Everything about this hotel was exceptional, the food , staff , rooms , cleanliness.

I work away and stay in hotel’s regular, I also travel a lot so I have stayed in many hotels , this is really a find
King Suite was very spacious and comfortable, with great views of the garden and river from the huge bay window. Good selection of local beers in the hotel bar. The large residents lounge with comfortable seating and a variety of daily newspapers. Easy walking distance to the Aspinall Arms pub and a superb Three Fishes restaurant.
Stunning gift basket of treats provided. The home is exceptionally clean, feels brand new. Extremely well situated in the park to make the most of the lake view. Ideal location to explore surrounding area. Would definitely stay again, as family or couple. Comfortably accommodated two adults and two teens.
The rooms at this centrally located pub are lovely. We are repeat visitors. The beds are so comfy and our room was spacious and well designed. The breakfast is huge and good quality. I especially loved the ultra fresh mushrooms. The other bonus is the free parking for hotel guests. A really lovely stay.
The location was good. Comfortable and clean room. Plenty going on and by far the best place in Clitheroe to stay. The rest of the town is pretty quiet after 8pm as we visited mid-week, but we got back to the Spinning block and there was live music on until 9pm. Food and service excellent
Lovely location, convenient for Clitheroe whilst not being in the centre and most importantly very cycle friendly hotel. Definitely will stay here again for any cycling events in the area. Plus a delicious breakfast and very kind and welcoming staff. Really enjoyed my stay.
Lovely location - enhanced by the snow. A characterful hotel with lovely open fires, cosy lounge. Our room on the 2nd night was fabulous - spacious and very quiet with superb views. The staff were lovely - courteous, helpful and very welcoming with a smile.
Great location in the centre of Clitheroe. Lovely property, great facilities, clean and comfortable. Nice of owner to meet us there and give us useful information about locality. Look forward to returning in the near future.
Very well situated hotel for a short walk into the town centre. Evening meal was very good in the hotel. Breakfast at Maxwell's across the road was excellent.
Staff were lovely in the hotel, excellent service.
The rooms were bigger than expected. Nice kitchen area and bathroom. The house is also located within 5 minutes of a host of bars and eateries, but quiet despite this. Host very helpful and pleasant.
Absolutely beautiful cosy house! Felt like home as soon as we walked in! So many lovely comfortable areas to sit, very relaxing and spacious inside. Highly recommend this lovely house.
The property is conveniently located in the beautiful historic centre of Clitheroe with shops, supermarkets, pubs and restaurants all within ten minutes’ walk.
The views from the beer garden.
Rooms spacious & well equipped.
Clean, airy & very comfortable bed.
Great night sleep.
