As one of the biggest cities in the world, Mexico City could be better described as an experience than a city. Founded in 1325 by the Aztecs as Tenochtitlan, it was both destroyed and rebuilt by the Spanish in the 16th century. Nowadays, it is the capital of the United Mexican States and its most important economic and cultural center.
The city center’s cornerstone is the famous Plaza de la Constitución, commonly called Zócalo. It's surrounded by the presidential Palacio Nacional and the Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral.
The Avenida de la Reforma was built under the brief rule of Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian of Austria, while the deposed president Porfirio Díaz left a characteristic fusion of French-Mexican architecture. The 1960s saw a demographic explosion that only now is starting to be completely absorbed.
From the Chapultepec Parks and the chic Polanco, to the gay area of Zona Rosa and the Bohemian and intellectual Coyoacán: let Mexico City tell you its thousand secrets and stories.
Most of the hotels are located around the Reforma area, the Insurgentes Avenue and the Zócalo. If you’re looking for 5-star hotels in Mexico City, the modern Santa Fe area has a recently redeveloped business sector.

Mexico City is an incredible destination with a mix of old-world charm and modern excitement. You can explore ancient wonders like the pyramids of Teotihuacan and visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe for a spiritual experience. Don't forget to venture outside the city to discover charming "Pueblos Mágicos" (Magic Towns) nearby, each offering its own unique charm and cultural treasures. With delicious food, friendly people, and so much to see and do.

great city plenty to see.
great city plenty to see. The cathedral's and churches which are all historic. The a castle and canals with boats to see the area. Downtown is a large walking area with lots to see and paces to eat. I was thoroughly satisfied. Mexico is a bit like Rome,a lot of walking. Mexico's weather was good, only warm, with some smog and ash from the volcano. Might affect sinuses.

This should be up there on people’s lists with the likes of Paris, London, Florence, etc. An absolutely outstanding city all round - and very affordable at that. Extremely lovely people too! Good vibes.

Liked the people, culture, history and excursions.
Liked the people, culture, history and excursions.
Didn’t like not knowing the main lobby video at the big archeological museum was closed. We saw the times in ENG and waited about 30 minutes, then was told no video. If they could have put sign on door, we would not have wasted 30 minutes standing and waiting to go into auditorium.

Restaurants are very expensive, almost as bad as USA.
Restaurants are very expensive, almost as bad as USA. Don't be afraid of eating street food! It's absurdly cheap and delicious. Easy to get around with many options, ie, walking, biking, bus, taxis/Uber, metro. Weather was perfect during our stay (Feb 19 - Mar 11), did not see a single cloud the entire time. People are very friendly and I saw strangers helping each other frequently, got a good sense of "we're all in it together" as opposed to the "us vs them" attitude that is common in the USA. We greatly enjoyed the visit to Mexico City!
Nice location in the Las Condesa area of Mexico City. 30 min taxi ride from the airport depending on traffic. There are plenty of restaurants within 5 min walking distance of the hotel. There is a Starbucks at the entrance to the hotel. Main city attractions are within 15 min with uber. The hotel has a nice contemporary look. No grand lobby, very simple. The rooms are designed in a contemporary fashion, Elegant and conformable furniture in the room. Bathroom is spacious with a contemporary look.
Perfectly located along tree lined Reforma, and nestled between the beautiful neighborhoods of Polanco, Rosa y Chapultepec’s museums & Palace, walking distance to parks, monuments & many restaurants ... amazing housekeeping & staff services, it’s a pricey yet exclusive way to spend a week in Mexico City, especially for first timers 😎 ... Uber & Taxi’s are plentiful and cheap ways to visit the beautiful historic center and many museums & cultural attractions! Go and be pampered!!!
This is a stunningly beautiful boutique hotel in the Condesa neighborhood of Mexico City. As an interior designer, I can attest to the care and intention put into almost every detail of this property. I fell in love with the neutral palette, luxe details [I'm still thinking about all of the amazing smells around the property and the epic bed/sheets]. The staff could not have been more friendly. We absolutely loved our stay here and will be coming back for our next visit to CDMX.
The location, attached to the International Terminal at the Mexico City Airport, and near the buses, is perfect. It's easy to walk across the bridge to get food. There are restaurants in the hotel and nearby. The staff are friendly and helpful. The entry area is modern and attractive. Many conveniences are offered. Overall, it was fairly quiet, given the hotel is so near the airport.
Boutique hotel style. Quiet and well-designed with a secure entry door. Located on a fairly quiet street in Condesa, if you walk across the big street, you’ll find more restaurants and cafes. The shower gel and shampoo provided in the room smell very good and high-end! I appreciate their attention to these kinds of details to make your stay comfortable.
Location is amazing, near reforma, city centre and 10 min drive to Roma and Condesa and you also have a pharmacy and convenient store near by. Room was modern and size was fine, bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was good for the price but don´t expect too much, however, near the hotel there are many places to eat for cheap.
Location was excellent in the Condesa district and everything was walkable. Staff was very welcoming and friendly which made our stay so much more enjoyable. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. The rooftop bar and pool was incredible, which kept both kids and parents happy. One of the best gyms I have been to in a hotel!
The Orchid House is a beautiful boutique hotel. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. We loved the patio outside as well. Breakfast was delicious! Located in the heart of Polanco's neighborhoods and restaurants, we were able to walk to everything.
We needed a place to sleep close to the airport as we flew into Mexico City internationally in the evening and had another flight the next morning. This hotel was perfect for this purpose as it's right in the terminal, it was easy to access and the room was spacious and bed comfortable.
The location is great just outside Mexico City Airport, with free shuttle bus taking us there from the airport. We couldn't enjoy the free breakfast as we had to leave early for our morning flight, but the hotel packed our breakfast, even though small and basic, it was wonderful.
in gentle green and leafy Polanco, his hotel architecture was interesting, and its location near many interesting eateries on Calle Oscar Wilde, it sits on the edge of Parque America, in that part of the city, where all the streets are name for a poet. Kind of charming…
The perfect place to stay if you need early/quick access to the airport for a flight early in the morning. Good facilities, nice atmosphere, and the ability to walk to and from the airport terminal makes this one of the best airport hotels we have stayed at.
I stayed there for two nights for business. Comfortable, walking distance from el angel de la independencia and Reforma avenue. Close to a lot of restaurants. Located in a very safe area. The price was considerably cheaper than other hotels around.
Very quaint, with nice outdoor spaces, beautifully decorated boutique hotel. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the high quality breakfast with several choices. The location was also great in the midst of the charming neighborhood Condesa.
The place is comfortable... Surround with restaurants especially Cafe Shanghai and Cafe Kowloon and others. Moreover 0.5miles away is full of restaurants too for visiting.
The breakfast is superb.... One if the best among Mexico city hotels..
Nice boutique hotel located in the perfect location to start the trip in Mexico City. Great coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance, and the nature filled vibe of the neighbourhood is so lovely. Thank you!
Roland at the front desk provided a 5 stars service.
He was on point for recommendations and letting me know about the history of the city.
The design of the hotel is incredible and location in polanco is perfect
Clean, spacious apartment In a perfect, lovely quiet area of Polanco.
Nice breakfast, nice small pool.
It is not fully staffed like a Hotel, but the staff was helpful, accommodating, and polite.
Best airport hotel in Mexico City, free shuttle service, new and modern facilities, quite room, very good and reasonable priced 24/7 room service, gym.
