Positano is absolutely amazing, but be ready to walk a lot...
Positano is absolutely amazing, but be ready to walk a lot of stairs, on very very steep trails. Respectfully, this place is not ideal for unfit people. Depending if you’re staying close the beach or on the upper side of the city, you will either have to take the stairs with your luggage or get a taxi, which is not cheap there.
There are a lot of good restaurants to choose from, and also very affordable, even though the city is rated to be quite expensive.
The beach is relatively small, so don’t expect to find a spot to lay down on the sand if you’re travelling during the summer season. As we visited in march, the weather was 10-18 degrees Celsius, which was prefect, also we avoided the crowds and the Mediterranean summer heat of June-August.

Is picturesque.
Is picturesque. Very hilly so if you have mobility problems would be best avoided. It is expensive even for little things like snacks I found it financially beneficial to have a proper meal. Other than that an enjoyable place to visit.

The Amalfi Coast is a beautiful destination to visit in...
The Amalfi Coast is a beautiful destination to visit in Italy. Originally, when booking this location, I thought the area was sold out-it was hard to find accommodations. But once we arrived we learned that the entire Amalfi Coast pretty much goes silent from November to late March. The area has limited restaurants open as well as hotels. So we were lucky we found a home in which to stay. Use the bus SITA to buy a trip to Amalfi to spend 4-5 hours. Well worth the 3euro cost. Other locations available too on this bus line. Sorrento can be visited as well using the public transportation. The winding roads leading from Sorrento to Positano and then to Amalfi will leave you spell bound. Sharp drops, scenic ocean views and the lovely speckle of homes up and down these cliffs is just breath taking. Highly recommend a visit to the area.

Everything was closed during Dec, no where to eat and only few shops were open, spent 3 nights and it was too long with no where to eat and not much to do, walked daily for spectacular views!
Lots of stairs to climb and I would definitely avoid coming December-March.

Positano is beautiful, but I would go back in the summer...
Positano is beautiful, but I would go back in the summer when we could use the beach. Stairs ! Stairs! Stairs! I didn't believe it until I seen it with my own eyes how much stairs there are. If you have trouble with stairs or walking Positano could be a difficult area. Luggage is also difficult to carry around here, and there is only 1 major road and if your not staying at a hotel on that road, there are alot of steps to get there.

Positano is a dream!
Positano is a dream! The views are enchanting, there's a good amount of things to do in town and in neighboring towns. It is quite expensive and the company matters (more of a couples destination but there were friends and families there as well). You'll walk a lot but there's buses pretty regularly. I went in early September, just outside of high season and it was the best, couldn't imagine going in summer because the crowds would be horrific.
We loved everything about Villa Magia. The concierge went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful, arranging transport and luggage pickup, making lunch and dinner reservations, and all around ensuring we had a great stay. The facilities are great and the view from the main terrace is the best in Positano in our opinion. We liked that the hotel was accessible to the center but not right in the middle of the crowds, and our stay felt very relaxing. Also highly recommend their terrace restaurant Luna, excellent menu and again great service.
This hotel is amazing, the best place in Positano I would say. The attention, the restaurant is so good, the view, everything here is incredible. Contact them ahead so they could arrange your transportation from Naples if you need it, we did it and was a great idea because they also transport your bags from the parking lot to the hotel (500m) which in Positano is a big challenge. We told them ahead it was our honeymoon and definitely made the trip special.
BEST ACCOMODATION IVE EVER HAD. If you stay in Positano, I HIGHLY recommend you stay here. Although the stairs up to the hotel are a bit much, that is my only small complaints and the views are unbeatable. They serve you amazing breakfast and have great dinners. The staff really makes you feel at home and provides a great welcome. This stay really hit the home run and I cannot recommend it enough. I’ll definitely be back and for longer!!
Cada Pietro is a place to be in Positano, it’s really well located just beside the main road( which is the best way to get to town and avoid the hundred and hundred steps ) nice restaurants close by ( at main road). The place was so clean, spotlessly. The owners are so welcoming and helpful and the bed and shower was the best I got during my trip to the Almafi Coast/ Capri. Great value for money! Literally a 5 star guest house !
One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The hotel is in an amazing location with breathtaking views. Breakfast is served right to your door and the staff could not have been more helpful. The hotel also had great recommendations for restaurants in the nearby area.
I could not recommend this hotel enough to anyone who would like to visit Positano. Again- AMAZING staff!!
This is one of the best hotels i stay at in Italy, the location, the cleanliness, the magic view, and most of all, we were hosted by an amazing kind person Antonio. He helped us a lot before the arrival on the way arounds, the luggage and recommendations in where to eat and go during our stay. Thank you Antonio for making our stay an outstanding experience.
The best hotel I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous views, exquisite garden, best restaurant in Positano, private beach and an enchanting walkway to get to the main beach. quietly tucked away from the hustle of the city center. The staff was extremely kind and always helpful. It is a piece of paradise. I will be definitely returning.
We had an amazing time at Massimo’s property. Everything was exceptionally clean and comfortable. This was the best from the places we stayed in Italy, including more expensive hotels. You get a lot here including an amazing view. we are very happy we chose this place and would come back in a heartbeat!
A very nice hotel offering the best view of Positano, I have requested for a specific room and I was given just that, couldn't be happier. The location is a nice bonus as it is near the bus drop off point and the stair climbing was not a lot compared to other places. Service was very good.
The hotel location, the rooms, the views, the friendly family atmosphere, the staff, the Reception Management were truly amazing and made our holiday a wonderful experience.
We will definitely return to Positano and Hotel Poseidon in the future.

The apartment was clean, breakfast was great, and near Fornillo Beach. Staff was amazing and sweet. The apartment has a washer and a porch. 2 routes to get to the hotel, one way requires more steps, but that’s normal in Positano.
Really great location on the beach, we had a room on the top floor which had amazing views of Positano with a lovely terrace which was great for people wanting and catching some sun. It’s a small hotel and was lovely and quiet.
The room is amazing and the best part is the balcony with the incredible view.
The stuff are so kind and happy to help with everything.
We had good time in Positano and a big part belong to the hotel and the stuff.
Everything. Staff were the best staff at a 5 star I've ever encountered. It's a real 5 star hotel.
The view. Incredible.
The rooms were beautiful.
The food was also so so good. I'll be back next year.
