Sorrento was lovely- I wouldn't suggest going in late Feb like we did - wait until their season gets going as lots of things are shut for the winter.
I would probably stay a max of 3 days here or stay on the prettier Amalfi coast side and do a day trip to Sorrento- its easily reached by bus.

I was traveling with people for whom the steep streets were hard to walk. But it is a lovely city. It was”off-season” In January, many restaurants were closed as expected. Yet there was still heavy traffic and hard to park, not expected.
We drove up to Pompei and loved that marvelous place. If you have any walking issues,I recommend staying in town. We had great seafood at restaurants recommended by a taxi driver and a shopkeeper. That’s an advantage of traveling off-season; people have time to talk to you.

Sorrento itself requires one hour to get fully acquainted with. We used the town as a base to go Amalfi and Positano, Pompei and Naples. The road to the Amalfi coast is a switchback disaster. Think twice before driving there on your own. And sadly you cannot appreciate the beauty of the towns when you are in. It's only visible from the sea or from the air, as in those famous pictures.

This is my second time back in Sorrento and it's such a vibe. It is also one of the best cities in Italy for shopping! You always find amazing gift ideas, and leather items and don't forget limoncello! I love the food, the atmosphere and how it's still has a great vibe even in slow season. I totally recommend Sorrento as a base for exploring Southern Italy.

Delightful town/village, sits atop the 200-foot or so palisade of the Mediterranean Sea, picturesque views of the sea, down to earth people, lovely upscale mansions/homes along the ocean, many shops and restaurants, narrow and quaint little alleyways/streets that are an artist's delight, clean and well maintained village/town.

Lovely old town on the coast - access to see other great areas, Napoli, Positano, Amalfi, Pompeii.
Wanted to try every single little cafe - we will have to go back! The food was wonderful!
Make sure you take good walking shoes!
this little B&B is an absolute GEM!! Clown to everything, train, beaches, restaurants, shopping!! each morning your lovely hostess prepares a special breakfast just for you... traditional Italian with customization for your preferences, along with a lovely cappuccino!! or 2!! private patio with a roof top lounging area (private) with lovely views, topped with an excellent shower (hard to find in Italy!) and the most comfortable bed we found in Italy. we will absolutely be back to enjoy this family villa in the heart of Sorrento !!
Antonella and Giuseppe were incredibly gracious and accommodating hosts. The room including bathroom was very spacious, bed was extremely comfortable, and the private patio had unbelievable ocean, city, and sunset views. We loved eating our dinners on the patio while enjoying the views. Shuttle service into Sorrento was free saving us many euros. Did I mention the breakfast spread? Americano coffee every morning was the best we had in our 3.5 week stay in Italy. So much fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, and more.
The location is about a beautiful 25 minute walk into the centre and if you have a buggy just be warned the first part of the walk by the Relais has no pavement but be assertive with traffic and it's manageable! The property is gated so feels very private and safe and the owners are fantastic both on site and also throughout the booking process. The property itself is absolutely beautiful and the breakfast is easily the best we had whilst in Italy. Thank you!
This was the best hotel we have stayed at in the past 6 weeks travelling through Turkey, Greece, and Italy.
The simplicity of leaving our car with them for the 4 days we stayed and let the free shuttle bus from the hotel to take us to the centre of town and main train terminal was great.
Staff was awesome and cleanliness was great too.
Probably will never come back to Sorrento but I would highly recommend this hotel to any future travellers.

My husband and I were very impressed by the staff’s attentiveness and how they went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We traveled throughout Italy for our honeymoon and this hotel was by far one of our favorites. The breakfast was amazing. The rooms were clean and spacious. There was even a driver to take you to and from Sorrento. I would defiantly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Sorrento. We hope to be back one day!
Claudio and Maria were wonderful hosts. I received a really warm welcome when I first arrived. The apartment was extremely clean, comfortable and in a great location. Claudio was very responsive and helpful before and during my stay. They are some of the nicest people I've met during my trip in Italy. I will definitely stay here again if I'm ever in Sorrento and will recommend this place to all my friends and family
Nino was a fantastic host and the kindest and warmest person we’ve met on our travels. The room is very modern, the bed linens are extremely soft, luxurious shower and high quality towels. Nino recommended and booked us Soul and Fish which turned out to be one of the best restaurants we’ve been to in Italy. If we are ever in Sorrento again, we will come back to stay here!
A highlight of our stay in Italy! Such a beautiful boutique hotel with so many thoughtful touches! Historic building with so much character, yet all modern amenities you may need. The service was wonderful and everyone was so pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast was outstanding and a ‘happy hour’ was a nice touch. The location could not have been better as well!
This is THE Hotel to stay in Sorrento. Best view from up on the hills of Sorrento overlooking the bay and mount Vesuvius, one of the largest rooms we have stayed in Italy, plenty of relaxation areas, reasonably equipped gym, excellent service, very friendly and helpful staff and an amazing pool and pool area. You will not regret staying here.
Breakfast was disappointing. I booked this hotel based on the reviews of the breakfast provided however this has now changed and instead on breakfast on the common room you get vouchers to a restaurant downstairs who are not friendly and speak little English. Very basic. Good sized room. Had an iron which is rare in Italy!
The host… the host is knowledgeable, helps with foreigners to make the check in and getting to the accommodation easier and stress free.
The location is a stone throw away from the friendly and vibrant town of Sorrento.
If you are English speaking and are complete strangers to Italy, the host will and does help.
This was our favourite of the 5 places we stayed while in Italy. The location was perfect. The room was spotless and very quiet with a peaceful balcony overlooking a garden. Salvatore was lovely and offered many helpful suggestions for the area. We would come back for sure!
This was one of the best accommodations we had in our three weeks stay in Italy. The host is absolutely amazing and gave us lots of helpful tips. The property felt like a luxurious hotel room. Everything in the room had quality from linen, bath towels, shower products etc.
Our stay at this hotel was the highlight of our trip to Italy. I wouldn't change a thing. Great room, with a great view. Great location. Exceptional breakfast and really nice on-site restaurant. Staff is amazing. If we are ever in Sorrento again this will be our home.
Absolutely perfect bed & breakfast near the heart of Sorrento. The staff was amazing, friendly, and extremely helpful (especially with the check in process and showing us how to access everything). If we are able to travel to Italy again, we will definitely stay here.
Loved everything about this place! Beautiful little B&B. Short 10 minute walk to Sorrento center. Vanna and Mario are the most gracious hosts. Breakfast was excellent. Probably the best B&B we stayed at on our month long journey through Italy!
Best location in Sorrento. This is also the best place you will find. The rooms are amazing, very modern and beautiful. The best place we stayed in all of Italy. The host Sylvie was very nice and helped us with everything we needed.
The hotel was a great location, very close to the train/bus stop, it had the most comfortable bed I have slept on in Italy so far. It is super close to the city center, easy walk to access the beach, and shopping.
The best hotel we stayed at during our 10 night, 6 location southern Italy anniversary vacation. Excellent location just blocks from the seaside main street with its restaurants, shops, and beautiful views.
Excellent breakfast -probably the best we have experienced in Italy.
Lovely rooms
The view.
Really really lovely people who work there
The courtesy car to go to Sorrento and back
