- From £137.67 per night9.2Scored 9.2SuperbRated superb· 240 reviewsthis hotel is very charming, super clean, modern meets rustic and nestled in a cute vineyard near Gouveia with fruit trees and olive trees. the yard it has a stable with horses, many birds all around and a (lot of) shelter for abandoned dogs (safely behind fences). indoors you will find 2 charming cats that want to cuddle and super friendly staff. the hotel has their own wines, jams, olive oil and locally produced cheeses. the restaurant is very nice and we really advise to take a few Madre De Aqua wines home!

Beautiful building, amazing suite with a view of a gorgeous sunset. They produce their own wine, cheese (including a DOP Serra da Estrela cheese) and olive oil in the property, and you can visit the orchards and meet the sheeps! Just make sure to book everything in advance. Great restaurant inside the hotel, with a really good breakfast. The staff is beyond helpful. More than recommend.MarcoBrazil

The host was completely fluent in English and Portuguese, and answered lots of questions about the town and surrounding area. The room was large and quiet, with a large spotless bath. Breakfast was a nice selection of fresh foods.

Staff were super friendly and helpful (especially Joao) throughout our stay. Rooms were clean, tastefully decorated and with great views across the farm. We ate in the hotel every evening and found the food to be tasty, well presented and good value. Wines were great too ;).

If you need anything more for breakfast, they serve you. Staff is also great. On our trip over Portugal we have stayed in five 4 star hotels (mostly small like this) and this was the best.
